Vacancy: All-round Carpenter (40 hours)

Location: Waardenburg (Gelderland) • Employment type: Permanent • Work area: Workshop + NL (incidentally on-site)

Happy Timber is a manufacturer of premium outdoor saunas and hot tubs. You will build them. From raw plank to a perfectly assembled end result in our own workshop and on-site at the customer's location.

This is what you will do

• Independently produce wooden outdoor saunas, hot tubs, and cold tubs in our workshop

• Work with sustainable wood, wall panels, roof constructions, and benches

• Install saunas and hot tubs on-site (mainly in NL and BE)

• Perform service and repair work (finishing, wood parts, bench constructions, etc.)

• Technically consult with colleagues about custom solutions and construction sequence

• Contribute ideas for optimizing workshop layout, jigs, and work methods

Must-haves

• MBO-level carpentry/wood technology (or relevant work experience as an all-round carpenter)

• Ability to work from technical drawings or construction instructions

• Driving license B and BE (for transport and assembly with a trailer)

• Fluent in Dutch and good communication skills

• Physically fit, handy, precise, and proud of your work

• No problem with occasionally starting early or flexibly contributing to the team

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with thermally modified wood or other types of wood

• Familiar with outdoor assembly/garden projects/wellness construction

• Proficient with (cordless) tools and assembly

• Forklift certificate or experience with loading/unloading

• Eye for detail in wood finishing (e.g., deburring, sanding, oil/varnish)

Employment conditions (permanent employment, 40 hours)

• Salary: €2,700–€3,400 gross per month (depending on experience)

• 25 vacation days (for full-time), travel allowance, pension scheme

• Full-time work week of 40 hours, fixed working days Monday to Friday

• Excellent workshop, own tools, and varied work (workshop + on-site)

• Career opportunities towards foreman, work planner, or installation manager

An example week

Monday: Production of sauna wall panels and roof construction (workshop)
Tuesday: Installation of outdoor sauna at customer in Brabant + on-site finishing
Wednesday: Service job: replacing bench construction + checking sealant
Thursday: Assembling and finishing sauna in the workshop
Friday: Woodworking + preparing for the next customer project
